State's Joint Finance Committee to Discuss Settlements with Attorney General

(WRN) -The state's Joint Finance Committee is set to discuss a number of possible settlements with the Attorney General after several weeks of arguing.That meeting is set for Wednesday afternoon. A number of smaller lawsuits are listed on the agenda, but not several million dollar cases like one involving dental fraud, and another against illegal use of funds at UW-Oshkosh.
Co-Chairs Alberta Darling and John Nygren agreed last week to have a lawyer sign non-disclosure agreements for the committee after Attorney General Josh Kaul insisted that he needed guarantees of confidentiality when discussing lawsuits.
