Suspicious Device Dismantled in Wisconsin Rapids

Officials in Wood County say deputies found a suspected bomb device on Saturday.It happened in Wisconsin Rapids just after noon yesterday. According to a press release from the Wood County Sheriff's Department, deputies were completing an investigation on Gaynor Avenue when they discovered a device looking like a homemade bomb. Upon the discovery, the Marathon-Oneida County Bomb Squad was called to investigate. They found the device to be inactive and dismantled it without incident. According to the news release the public was never at risk during the incident.
