Pet of the Week: Sage

Wednesday, July 24th, 2019 -- 11:45 AM

-Sage is this week's pet of the week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by Badger Animal Clinic.

Name: Sage

Breed: Chihuahua mix

Age: 3 months old

Sage is just so cute! She's a 3-month old Chihuahua mix who weighs 7pounds. Sage came to CCHS from an over-crowded shelter in Texas. She's got a very happy personality and is always excited to see you. She gets along will with everybody she meets and enjoys both playtime and cuddle time. She just wants to find her new forever family!

You can learn more about, and adopt, Sage, and all the animals at the shelter, at their website, cchs-petshelter.org. You can also apply for adoption in person.

"Purrfect Paws" is the current adoption promotion. During the entire month of July, the adoption fee is waived on all cats over 6 months of age. Regular adoption policies still apply for all adoptions and there may be some exceptions.

Also continuing is "Red, White & Woo Hoo!" They have a select group of dogs that are part of the promotion. It's basically the dogs that have been with them the longest that most need to find a new home. Their adoption fee is waived with a donation of 50# or more of Purina Puppy Chow. If no food donation, their adoption fee is $50. Regular adoption policies still apply and there may be some exceptions. Their pictures are on CCHS's Facebook page and each has a special sign on their kennel at the shelter.

The shelter's New Volunteer Orientation will be held at CCHS on Saturday, July 27th at 10am. It's a chance to learn all about the shelter and the work they do. Plus, you'll tour the shelter and meet the animals. You can sign up on their website, but walk-ins are welcome too.

Finally, CCHS is planning ahead! They know that many of their students will be returning to school in August and they're going to be short-staffed. So, they're going to be hiring new staff now! Full-time and part-time positions in the cat and dog areas will be available. You can apply in person at the shelter or online through their website.
