Governor Evers Says He Will Fight Republicans' Veto Proposal

(WRN) -A Republican proposal to limit the governor's veto powers won’t pass without a fight from Tony Evers' office.Evers tells "Capital City Sunday" on WKOW-TV that he will fight the proposal he expects will reach Wisconsin’s Supreme Court. Republican lawmakers want to rewrite the state constitution to prohibit the governor from using his veto pen to increase spending.
Evers vetoed part of the recently-passed state budget to boost public education funding by 65-million dollars.
