Congressman Kind Calls Out Colleagues Regarding President's Racist Tweets

Friday, July 19th, 2019 -- 10:43 AM

(WRN) -Democrat Congressman Ron Kind calls out his Republican colleagues in the House over the President's racist comments about four Democrat women.

Kind says both Sean Duffy and Glen Grothman spent their time during the Obama administration peppering the President.

"And now that the Administration has flipped anyone who offers any level of criticism or concern about policies the President is persuing is somehow un-American? Somehow doesn't care about the future of our country?"

Kind says Republicans have to step up and hold the President to the same amount of criticism that they showed for President Obama.

"I would hope that even Republicans can agree that when the President sends out racist tweets like this, there has to be some pushback, especially from members of his own party."

Duffy joined the President in referring to the women as 'anti-American', though he has attempted to walk back those statements. Grothman called a House effort to condemn the President for the tweets a waste of time.
