Several Items Discussed at Granton Village Board Meeting

-The Granton Village Board discussed several topics at their meeting on Wednesday.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the board heard an update on business and residential sidewalks. It was also stated the campground is now in compliance and was ready and opened for the park fund raiser. Six camp sites were utilized during the fund raiser. The stripper media was delivered on July 10th and will be installed next week and the board heard an update on the garbage contract. The board heard the Water Report. Hydrants were flushed, meters were read, potholes were filled, cemetery maintenance was completed, they cleaned up a fallen Maple in the park, they painted some picnic tables, they repaired playground equipment, they limed and drug the ball field for games, installed 2 more porta potties in the campground and they ran water to the campground and planted a few trees.
The board also heard the Sewer Report. Pond 3 is filling up fast and they will probably have to discharge early. The sewer line to the park was jetted, the parking lot at the park was graded, they dug a couple graves for, Installed a new scale for chlorine in well 5, fixed a shut off, installed a new back up light in truck and they changed fuel and oil filters on the mowers.
