Granton School Board Approves Several Items

-The Granton School Board approved several items in preparation for their next school year at their meeting on Monday.The board adopted the Wisconsin Academic Standards for the 2019-20 school year, approved the MS/HS Student Handbook for the 2019-20 school year, approved the Elementary Student Handbook for the 2019-20 school year and approved the PBIS Manual for the 2019-20 school year. The board also approved the Athletic Code for the 2019-20 school year, approved the First Reading of Student Use of Communication Devices Policy 10AB, approved the First Reading of School Attendance Policy 10J and approved the First Reading of Early College Credit Program Policy 10JA, formerly the Youth Options policy.
The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Principal Amanda Kraus reported that she has created a blog that will send the staff 4K-12 bi-weekly challenges to try and post about in their classrooms. The goal is to increase instructional betterment in the classroom and have the staff reflecting on their own classroom instruction. Superintendent Scott Woodington reported on the preliminary 2019-20 budget after the Governor signed the state budget.
