BOY TRIES TO KILL FAMILY WITH RAT POISON

And you thought you had problems with your kids.A 15-year-old Poynette boy is accused of trying to kill his family with rat poison. Columbia County officials say Jamie L. Auck put rodent poison in his mother, stepfather and half sister's food for about five weeks. All three have been sick and getting medical treatment, officials said.
Auck is being held at the Columbia County Jail. He's charged, as an adult, with three counts of attempted homicide. The youth told police that he didn't intend to kill him family, he just wanted to make them sick because he was mad at them, officials said.
