FARM TECHNOLOGY DAYS PLANNING CONTINUES

Tuesday, January 18th, 2005 -- 10:26 AM

July certainly feels a long ways off, but a dedicated group of organizers continues to meet monthly planning what will certainly be a colossal event for Clark County.

Farm Technology Days 2005 is coming to the Malm Family Farm outside of Loyal July 12th ? 14th ? with it, around $10-million will be pumped into the area?s economy through the around 20-thousand to 40-thousand people that are expected to attend the show. M

att Jorgensen serves on the Executive Committee, which has been meeting monthly.

"We've got a lot of really great people working on this event," says Jorgensen, "It's not just happening in a few pockets - it's happening across the county."

"It's just really exciting for me personally to see how many people have stepped forward to take a leadership role in this event."

And while we are in the throes of a bitterly cold winter, Jorgensen says there are still things happening ? both planning-wise and physically ? as the Malm Farm gets ready to host the event.

"If you drive by the Malm's in February, you'll start to see some changes."

Jorgensen says Tent City will start to take shape with the electric poles going up in February, "That will kind of be the start. That will be the first real physical sign we'll have the Farm Technology Days is coming," Jorgensen says.
