Loyal Man Sentenced for OWI and Drug Charges

-A Loyal man arrested after the execution of a search warrant was sentenced in Clark County Court on Wednesday.Back in October of 2017, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Loyal Police Department executed a search warrant at N9536 County Highway K Apt. 1 in the Township of Loyal. The search warrant was a result of an ongoing investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. Upon searching the residence, drugs, numerous items of drug paraphernalia and a handgun were located. Brandon Allen was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, possession of THC. Three other charges were dismissed and read in. Since that time, Allen had also been arrested for a drunken driving incident and he entered a plea to those charges as well.
He was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, 4th OWI with a passenger less than 16 and bail jumping. Another charge was dismissed and read in. In all, Allen was sentenced to 3 years of probation with a condition of 120 days jail time. He must also have an ignition interlock device for 24 months and his license was revoked for 48 months. He was also given an imposed and stayed sentence of 1.5 years in prison and 2 years of extended supervision, meaning if he fails any condition of his probation, he’ll serve those sentences.
