Neillsville School Board Discusses Employment Matters

-The Neillsville School Board discussed employment matters at their meeting last week.The board approved the hiring of Bri Anne Collins for a K-5 counselor position, Chelsea Opelt for a middle school teaching position and Elizabeth Scott for a fifth grade teaching position. The board also approved a Memorandum of Understanding for Jessica Scheider and they approved the resignation of Sara Warren from her prom advisor position. The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Scott Schiller reported on attendance, June 10th -July 3rd is summer school, May 14th-17th was Camp Write-a-Long, some upcoming spring music concerts, some upcoming and recent field trips, May 31st is the 4K graduation ceremony and last day of school events. High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, middle school updates, high school updates, graduation update and a scheduling update.
Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on a non-curricular club application, an article on a school board member taking a bribe, an article regarding special education funding, an AEF press conference, scholarships presented to graduating seniors, the high school office renovation plan and preliminary budgets for future projects.
