Administrators' Reports at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting last week.District Administrator Bob Houts reported to the board on the Staff Appreciation Banquet that was held on May 8th as part of Teacher Appreciation Week. Several career at Owen-Withee milestones were recognized as well as retirees Mike Pankratz and Rob Ruggles were honored. Ann Fitzl was recognized as the Jr/Sr High Teacher of the Year, while Susan Nelson earned the Teacher of the Year honor for the Elementary School. Laurie Grimes was selected as Support Staff Person of the Year. The board also read thank you notes from Ann Fitzl and Jeffer Scheuer for the Teacher Appreciation Week events and gifts.
A thank you note from Ashley Amacher for the board support of her trip to the state FBLA Leadership Conference in Green Bay was read, as well as a congratulatory note from Carloyn Stanford Taylor, State Superintendent of Instruction, for the successful passing of the referendum in April. Finally, the board went into executive session to discuss and approve the initial base wage increase offer for the OWEA and the administration. The board approved an offer of $1,000 per teacher, a 2.25% increase, and a 2.25% increase for support staff and administration.
