Agricultural Bankers Working with Farmers During Tough Times

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -A recent survey of agricultural bankers in the Badger State indicates that many rural lending institutions are not only working to serve farmers during these challenge times, but most are also pursuing new ag business.According to a poll conducted by the Wisconsin Bankers Association, respondents say they would like to see Congress to take action to work out the ongoing international trade discussions. In addition to ratifying the U.S. Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement, the lenders think Congress should consider providing additional resources for a Dairy Innovation Hub and also review all recommendations from the Wisconsin Dairy Task Force for potential ideas within the USMCA framework.
The survey was conducted as part of the WBA Agricultural Banker Conference in April.
