Wisconsin Senator Discusses Abortion

(WRN) -U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson said he opposes a new Alabama law that seeks to end nearly all abortions.At the weekend state Republican Party Convention in Oshkosh, Johnson said he'd prefer a federal ban on abortion after 20 weeks - similar to state laws in Wisconsin and elsewhere.
Johnson told reporters he wished the U.S. Supreme Court had not legalized abortion in 1973 in the Roe v. Wade case, saying the issue should have been left to the states, but acknowledged that might have resulted in dramatically different abortion laws in the states.
