Owen City Council Approves Several Ordinances

-The Owen City Council approved several resolutions and ordinances at their meeting on Tuesday.The board approved a resolution adopting a Post-Issuance Debt Compliance Policy for Tax-Exempt and Tax-Advantaged Governmental Bonds. They also approved several ordinances including Electronic Records Preservation, Public Records Definition, Retention & Destruction of Public Records with the adoption of Wisconsin Municipal Records Schedule, Smoking and Vaping and Purchase or Possession of Tobacco and Vaping Products by Minors.
The council also approved an ordinance regarding Sexual Offender Residency Restrictions. The city will be working with the county to establish an official residency map. Finally, the council approved forming a City Hall Ad Hoc Committee to explore the possibility of an upgrade to City Hall.
