New Executive Director of the Marshfield Area United Way

(WDLB) -The Marshfield Area United Way has a new director. Former communications director Ashley Winch will now serve as the organization’s executive director.Winch has served as the organization’s Communications Director since 2011. She is replacing Paula Jero, who is retiring. Jero’s last day with United Way will be May 22nd. But you still might see her around the organization from time-to-time. Jero led the United Way for 11 years, and was instrumental in increasing the group’s volunteer base from about 200 to more than a-thousand. The number that’s become harder to raise, though, is the campaign goal.
Jero was also instrumental in the development of perhaps the United Way’s most successful, and most popular, program to date, the Nutrition on Weekends, or “NOW”, program, which provides meals on weekends to those area children who qualify to receive food when they’re not at school. Meanwhile, Krystal Bohman steps into Winch’s former role as communications director, and Cassie Zopfi has been introduced as the resource and office manager.
