Greenwood School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.

The board heard a CESA 10 report and two board members attended the Crystal Apple Awards. Elementary Principal Joe Green reported that the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has designated Greenwood Elementary School a School of Recognition. Greenwood Elementary School was 1 of 2 schools to be recognized as a High Progress School and a Beating the Odds School. Also, the district has begun the process of ordering the new ARC reading program, which will be implemented in 2019-2020. Finally, he stated that Summer School enrollment looks very good and an ATV/Snowmobile Safety class has also been added for this summer. District Administrator Todd Felhofer provided an update on the state budget and Staff Appreciation Week is May 6th-10th. The district is providing an apparel coupon for district employees to purchase district apparel.

He also stated Letters of Reasonable Assurance were delivered to support staff last week and teacher Contracts will be issued this week. A Special Board meeting is scheduled for Monday May 13th to consider bids for the Elementary Office/Entry project and 6:30pm. He also mentioned some upcoming important dates for the district including the High School Pops concert on May 13th at 7:00pm, the Senior Awards Event on May 19th at 1pm, the Senior Picnic on May 20th from 8:00am-1:00pm, the Middle School Pops concert on May 21st at 7:00pm, the Elementary School Color Run on May 22nd, and Graduation on May 25th at 11:00am.
