Friends of the Black River Holding Annual Wildflower Hike this Saturday

Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 -- 8:53 AM

-The Friends of the Black River will hold its annual wildflower hike Saturday, May 11th.

Each spring, the organization sponsors a hike for those interested in learning to identify spring wildflowers blooming in the Black River watershed. The trail is located on Pettibone Pass and is considered easy walking; the hike will last about an hour. Those interested in carpooling to the trail head are asked to meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce parking lot. The parking lot is located at 120 N. Water Street, Black River Falls.

There’s no charge to join the hike and the public is encouraged to join in the walk. For more information about the meeting and FBR, e-mail [email protected] or call Steve Rake at 715-284-2087.
