USDA WI Milk and Corn Prices

The USDA announced that the April Class III milk price was released at $15.96 per hundredweight.
That's up 94-cents from March's price, and $1.49 higher than April 2018. So far, the Class III price has averaged $14.71 during 2019. The Class IV component price was just a penny higher than last month's price at $15.72, and $2.24 more than last April.

Meanwhile, the Wisconsin all milk price for March was $17.30 per cwt., up $1.00 from last month's price and $1.10 more than a year earlier. The U.S. all milk price was $17.50 per cwt.

The average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin during March was $3.54 per bushel.
According to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report, that was eight-cents higher than February and eight-cents more than the previous March. Soybeans averaged $8.61 per bushel, up 13-cents from last month, but down $1.19 from last year. The oat price was $2.92 per bushel, a dime lower than February and 39-cents below March 2018.

All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $191.00 per ton in March, down $5.00 from February, but $69.00 above last March. Alfalfa hay was $203.00 per ton, up $2.00 for the month and $68.00 for the year.
