Thousands Attend President's Rally in Wisconsin on Saturday

Monday, April 29th, 2019 -- 12:45 PM

(WRN) -Thousands of people packed the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon on Saturday for a rare Presidential visit.

Thousands lined up early to fill the Resch Center for a rare Presidential Visit Saturday. Red Make America Great Again hats and Donald Trump shirts filled the streets near the Resch Center for hours. Supporters came from across the Midwest hoping to hear about a variety of messages.

"I'm just hoping to see what he plans on for 2020." "Hopefully more about building the wall." "I want to see him talk about America, baby." "Make America great again, makes me feel good."

Those in attendance expressed different reasons for attending.

"It's really nice to see that great minds think alike." "See a sitting president that we actually voted for and want to vote for again." "Just getting excited for the election coming up and seeing Trump." "Kind of almost a dream come true, a once in a lifetime event. Yeah!" "Enjoy the Rally!"

The Resch Center did fill up, leaving some to stand outside or catch the message at nearby bars and restaurants. Trump was in Green Bay instead of attending the annual White House Correspondents Dinner, and at his first rally appearance since the release of the Mueller Report.
