Administrators' Reports and More at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board discussed the Spring Recognition Dinner at their meeting last week.The dinner is being held at the Meadowview Golf Course on May 8th beginning at 6pm. Board members were reminded that should have received an invitation in the regular mail and that they are welcome and encouraged to attend the dinner on May 8th. The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. District Administrator Bob Houts reported for Elementary Principal Lance Batchelor who was attending an Honor Flight celebration. He reported to the board on state testing, and Summer School Registration. He also provided thanks to Ms. Rahn and Mrs. Hatlestad for organizing the schedule and the registration. The Book Fair will be held April 15th-18th in conjunction with the Enrichment Fair that will be held on Tuesday, April 16th from 2-3PM and again from 3:45-5:00PM. The last Kid’s Club of the year will be Tuesday, April 30th.
Jr/Sr High School Dean of Student Julie Van Ark recognized Grayce Bottlemy who qualified for the National Archery in Schools competition in Louisville next month. Mrs. Serocki and seven students competed in State Forensics April 12thand 13th. Mrs. Boie and Mr.Eichstadt will take freshmen to the Teen Health Conference in Marshfield on April 16th and the O-W-C Fire Department will be putting on a mock car accident for the OW high school students on April 22nd. Junior Prom will be April 27th in the high school gym and State Solo and Ensemble will be in Eau Claire on May 4th.
