Marshfield Man Sentenced in Clark County for Sexual Assault of a Child

-A Marshfield man charged in Clark County for sexual assault of a child was sentenced in court on Monday.According to court records, Mark Bartz said he communicated with a man online asking him to make child pornographic images. Bartz agreed and took pictures of a one-year-old child and a two-year-old child. He also told authorities he assaulted the one-year-old. Back in January, Bartz pleaded guilty to a charge of repeated sexual assault of the same child. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison with 20 years of extended supervision.
Back in October of last year, Bartz was found guilty in federal court for producing child pornography. He was sentenced to 50 years in prison and 25 years of supervised release. His Clark County sentence will run concurrent to the federal sentence.
