Governor Evers Announces Local Transportation Payments

-Governor Tony Evers announced that local governments received quarterly payments on Monday totaling $90,431,667 for General Transportation Aids, Connecting Highway Aids and Expressway Policing Aids from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

For calendar year 2019, local governments will receive an estimated $473 million from the state transportation fund to build and maintain local roads and bridges, which includes Expressway Policing Aids to the Milwaukee County Sheriff Department for patrol of Milwaukee expressways. Governor Evers’ budget proposal includes a $66 million increase for GTA. Payments to Wisconsin’s 1,852 villages, towns and cities include: $87,159,818 in General Transportation Aids; $3,015,874 to municipalities eligible to receive Connecting Highway Aids; and $255,975 to Milwaukee County for Expressway Policing Aids. For Clark County and General Transportation Aids, Stanley will receive $58,303.13, the Town of Beaver will receive $37,172.84, Town of Butler will receive $12,906.57, Town of Colby will receive $27,915.46, Town of Dewhurst will receive $23,919.86 and the Town of Eaton will receive $25,938.56.

The Town of Foster will receive $10,690.77, Town of Fremont will receive $37,823.84, Town of Grant will receive $37,799.95, Town of Green Grove will receive $28,942.73, Town of Hendren will receive $28,082.69, Town of Hewett will receive $13,847.06, Town of Hixon will receive $24,597.14, Town of Hoard will receive $29,520.21, Town of Levis will receive $28,285.76, Town of Longwood will receive $24,075.14, Town of Loyal will receive $33,672.95, Town of Lynn will receive $24,191, Town of Mayville will receive $32,860.69, Town of Mead will receive $26,267.05, Town of Mentor will receive $24,959.07, Town of Pine Valley will receive $34,616.61, Town of Reseburg will receive $33,242.93, Town of Seif will receive $12,894.62, Town of Sherman will receive $31,481.04, Town of Sherwood will receive $15,253.76, Town of Thorp will receive $37,973.15 and the Town of Unity will receive $36,294.88.
