No Major Surprises with Clark County Voters

-There were no major surprises with Clark County voters for Tuesday’s election.

Clark County residents voted for conservative backed Brian Hagedorn 3,574 votes over liberal backed Lisa Neubauer who had 1,997 votes. Jennifer Nashold received 3,975 votes for the District 4 Court of Appeals. The Loyal School Board had a three way race, all write in candidates, for the seat that includes the area south of Highway 98. Cara Prior received the most votes with 166, followed by Dennis Roehl with 100 and Darrell Laschen had 41.

Residents of the Owen-Withee School District overwhelmingly approved the district’s referendum with 519 voting yes and 292 voting no. Those in Clark County living in the Spencer School District joined the rest of the Spencer area by approving the referendum 86 yes and 80 no. There were also some Clark County residents that voted in contested school races in Stanley-Boyd, Marshfield, Black River Falls and Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan.
