Owen City Council Hears Owen-Withee Police Commission Report

-The Owen City Council heard the Owen-Withee Police Commission Report at their meeting last week.They reported the commission had designated Bonnie Wachsmuth as the official attorney for the O-W Police Commission. The Police Chief clarified his appointment of a part time deputy would not exceed full time hours of employment nor $12,000 per year as was budgeted. David Juzwiak will be hired as deputy for the OW Police Commission with a 2-year probation period. The Fair Housing Proclamation was also approved after being read by the city clerk. The council also heard the Personnel Committee Report.
It was reported the committee agreed allowing Todd Averill to work as a consultant for the Wastewater Treatment Department and do reports for both the WWTD and the Public Works Department for up 86 hours per month. This would allow Todd to retain his insurance with him paying the full monthly premium.
