Colby Man Sentenced for Drug Charges and Child Negelct

-A Colby man arrested for selling drugs and storing them in their home with children was sentenced in Clark County Court last week.In April of last year, Caleb Quelle and Elizabeth Mollan were arrested after authorities had an informant buy heroin from them on three separate occasions. When police searched the home, they found drugs and paraphernalia hidden in bizarre places like an Easter basket and an M&M’s container. Three children under the age of 10 were living in the home. One of the children, who was still breastfeeding, tested positive for cocaine.
In November of last year, Quelle pleaded guilty to manufacture/deliver heroin and neglecting a child. Nine other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 5 years’ probation along with an imposed and stayed prison sentence of 2 years and an imposed and stayed extended supervision of 2 years, meaning if he breaks any conditions of his probation, he’ll serve that time.
