NGL's Buchanan And Other Area Wrestlers Crowned State Champs

Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal's Stephen Buchanan is now a 2-time State Champion after winning the title at 195 pounds in Division 2 on Saturday at the Kohl Center in Madison.Buchanan beat Tyler Hannah (Viroqua) in the championship match 3-2. He finishes the season unbeaten at 48-0.
The 76th Annual State Individual Tournament championship produced 42 champions at the Kohl Center Saturday evening. Other area wrestlers to win State Titles included:
Logan Zschernitz of Spencer/Columbus Catholic (46-0)at 285 in D2.
Brady Spaeth of Cadott (46-0) earned the title at 160 in D3

Brock Schlough became just the 17th wrestler to win four State titles. He won the title in Division 3 at 152 pounds.
Coleman, Stratford and Two Rivers share the distinction of having won the most individual titles with three. Arrowhead also had multiple individual championships with two.
The State Team Wrestling Tournament will be held Friday and Saturday, March 1-2 at the UW Field House in Madison.
