Committee Reports at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the various committee reports at their meeting last week.The council heard the Commission on Economic Development Report from January 23rd. This was the meeting that approved the feasibility study for the Marshfield Medical Center facility and the contribution to the Clark County Fairgrounds Revitalization Project. The council heard the Historic Preservation Commission Report from January 24th. The commission discussed their calendars and decided that they probably won’t continue with calendars in the future. They will look at other fundraisers. They also discussed their Christmas Tour of Homes. The council heard the Heritage Days Committee Report from their meeting on February 6th. They discussed possible new events, the Miss Neillsville Program, bands, setup and sponsorships.
The council heard the Property Committee Report from February 11th. This was the meeting that approved sending the bid for the Christie Building to the full council. Finally, the council heard the Police and Fire Commission Report and the Personnel Committee Report, both from February 11th. These meetings approved sending the items regarding the Police Chief’s resignation, advertising for a new chief and the new chief’s salary to the full Common Council.
