Greenwood School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.

The board heard an update from a board member on the State Education Convention held at the end of January. Elementary Principal Joe Green provided an update on upcoming events at the Elementary School including Family Literacy Night on February 28 and the Color Run on May 22. The MS/HS Book Fair is February 11th-15th and the Elementary School Book Fair is February 25th-March 1st. Fundraising for Phase 2 of the Outdoor Classroom building is being planned and a Hunter Safety course will be added to Greenwood’s Summer School offerings. District Administrator Todd Felhofer reported on some political items. The 2019-2021 State Biennial Budget development is underway and the Legislature is planning to develop a budget and Governor Evers will develop a budget, which will make the process interesting.

He also reported that February 22nd and March 15th will be make-up days for cancelled days. Additional make-up days may need to be scheduled. Finally, he stated the ACT Testing for Juniors is February 20th-21st and the Legislative Forum in Medford is Monday March 4th.
