Greenwood School Board Approves Policy Updates and More

-The Greenwood School Board approved a policy update and more at their meeting on Monday.

The board approved NEOLA Policy Update 27.2 Policies numbered in the 5000’s-9000’s. They also reviewed the January 2019 Enrollment Report. The board also approved the revised Supplemental Compensation Framework and reviewed a draft of District Hiring Guidelines they directed administration to include with coaching positions. District Administrator Todd Felhofer presented the board with initial information regarding 2019-2020 compensation for professional and support staff. The board received AGR/SAGE report from Mr. Green and received an update from Mr. Felhofer regarding progress on the reduction of D’s and F’s. They also directed administration to research the pros and cons and logistics of full-day 4K and possible moving 6th grade to the middle school.

The board also directed administration to develop a presentation to inform the public about a possible project to enhance main entrance security at the elementary school. The board recognized bus driver Pat Kind for her 48+ years of service to the children of Greenwood. Mrs. Kind received a Certificate of Appreciation and a gift from the district. Clark County Sheriff Scott Haines addressed the board regarding school safety and active shooter situations. Finally, a representative from Schenck presented the Board with the annual audit review.
