Co-Op Renewals at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board approved a few co-op renewals at their meeting on Thursday.

The board approved the wrestling co-op renewal between Neillsville, Loyal, and Greenwood for the 2019-2020 school year. They also approved the girls’ and boys’ hockey co-op renewal with Black River Falls for the 2019-2020 school year. The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Scott Schiller reported on attendance, the district spelling bee on January 17th, Read Across America February 25th to March 1st, parent teacher conferences on February 21st and 22nd and the Warrior of the Week. High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, scheduling for 2019-2020; upcoming testing for 7-12 and other ACP news and the Academic Awards Ceremony will be held on March 13th.

Finally, District Administrator John Gaier gave an update on possible future projects for consideration, he reported on a thank you card, an article on school sponsored target shooting activities, the January 2019 pupil count, an email from the DOT regarding a bus inspection, a thank you letter from The Highground and a letter regarding greenhouse issues. He also mentioned an article on the state budget, an article on Scott Walker rigging multiple elections, two Focus articles, an email on weather-related school closures, a vacancy on the School District Boundary Appeals Board and the agenda for the Medford Legislative Meeting.
