Neillsville School Board Approves December Calendar

-The Neillsville School Board discussed the December calendar and operational plan at their recent meeting.
The board did approve the calendar for December. The plan is similar to the previous month’s plans. The board also approved a handful of budget modifications, approved the Cummins Filtration Grant as presented and approved the Academic Letter eligibility requirements with modifications as presented. The board also approved the donation of disposable PPE masks from Nasco as presented, approved the donation of masks from Marshfield Children’s as presented and approved the monetary donation from Unity bank for the sum of $936.45 as presented. Finally, the board approved the Achievement Gap Reduction Report as presented. The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Marcy Kunze reported on attendance, remote learners, web cam use, parent teacher conferences, Crystal Apple Teacher of Distinction recipient, Elementary School remote learning week, school resource officer and elementary staff thank you.
Middle Principal Kory Poeschel reported on attendance, remote learners, Middle School Character Trait of the Month, accelerated mathematics opportunity, Cummins LEGO build, mock election, Teen Leadership Council and youth mental health first aid training. High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, remote learners, survey results and Crystal Apple Teacher of Distinction. Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on a thank you note, Wisconsin State Education Convention, family guide to at-home learning material, referenda results, state superintendent candidate questions and American Education Week.
