Clark County Shopko Stores Spared the Chopping Block Again

-Clark County’s Shopko stores were spared the chopping block in the newest list of Shopko store closures.Back in December, Shopko had announced plans to close 39 stores. The list expanded to 100 stores in January and has now ballooned to 251 stores. Shopko has filed for bankruptcy protection from its creditors. The stores will close between now and mid-May as they look to emerge from bankruptcy and reorganize.
After the stores on the list have closed, Shopko will have 110 stores operating in more than two dozen states, compared to the 360 it has now. The Shopko’s in Neillsville, Abbotsford and Stanley will remain open.
