Governor Evers Directs DNR to Review Air and Water Permits for Foxconn

(WRN) -Governor Tony Evers says he's directed the state Department of Natural Resources to review air and water permits granted to Foxconn.Evers said Tuesday that he told Foxconn officials during one of his first meetings with the company that he might order such a permit review, and that Foxconn is "not concerned" with that. The governor's comments follow up on a tumultuous week of news surrounding the Taiwanese electronics maker's plans for its Racine County technology campus.
The permits were granted in the wake of a contract deal between Foxconn and the state for that plant.
