Clark County ATV/Snowmobile Trails Closed this Weekend

Friday, February 1st, 2019 -- 11:14 AM

-The Clark County ATV and snowmobile trails will remain closed this weekend.

The previous storm has left us with very fluffy and dry snow which was seen in greater totals by the southern quarter of the county. With the above freezing temperatures and forecasted rain for this weekend, the Clark County Forestry and Parks Department will keep all ATV and Snowmobile trails located on both private and public lands closed. Volunteer clubs and maintenance individuals have been out all week rolling and panning much of the county trails system to help establish a base that will last the remainder of the winter riding season. By staying off the trails, this will help preserve that base for favorable forecasted temperatures and additional snow.

The department is hopeful that after the pending warm up passes we will be able to open up select trails for traffic. Please note that UTV’s are not allowed on the Clark County ATV Trail system during the winter months, November 1- May 14. Clark County trails are subject to periodic closure; for updates on recent closures and/or openings please contact the Forestry and Parks Department at 715-743-5140, or visit the county website at www.co.clark.wi.us for more information on our trail system.

Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
