Jackson County Man Enters Plea for Hitting a Woman with his Car

-A Jackson County man arrested after running over a woman with his vehicle and fleeing the scene entered a plea in Jackson County Court.According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, back in April, Cody Winneshiek-Kish ran over a woman in the Town of Brockway, just outside Black River Falls. Winneshiek-Kish claimed that the woman had threatened his mother and hit him with a metal pipe. He said the woman was standing in front of his vehicle when he tried to get away and he hit her several times. The woman was taken to the hospital for multiple injuries.
During his court appearance, he was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, hit and run. Another charge was dismissed and read in.
