Weekly Share Our History Discussion Groups Continue at the 1897 Clark County Jail Museum this Week

Sunday, October 21st, 2018 -- 6:10 AM

-The weekly Share Our History Discussion groups continue this week at the 1897 Clark County Jail Museum this week.

With a different topic featured each week, the museum is offering an opportunity for anyone interested in local history to stop by and see what the museum has on the subject, and share their memories, stories and photos from years past. Light refreshments will be available, so stop by and reminisce awhile. The events will be held from 10am-Noon on Tuesdays throughout October and into November. This week’s event is happening on Tuesday, October 23rd and the topic is the City of Neillsville. On October 30th it’s The Krueger Incident in Owen the 100th Anniversary and November 6th’s topic is 100th Year Anniversary of the end of WWI.

As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, the Jail Museum accepts donations of photos, artifacts, printed material or other items of interest that have ties to our Clark County history or the people who lived here. The Museum is open for public tours each Sunday afternoon from 1pm-4pm, from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends each year. Private or Group Tours are also available, by appointment.
