Neillsville Man Appears in Clark County Court for Child Abuse

-A Neillsville man facing child abuse charges, after an infant was hospitalized with serious injuries, appeared in Clark County Court Thursday.Back in January, a woman brought her baby into the hospital. The baby had bruises on her body and one of her eyes wasn’t working properly. Authorities questioned Alden Martin Jr. about the injuries. He stated that the baby’s head had pitched forward and slammed into his collarbone while he was holding her. He also said she had fallen off a bed. However, doctors said that wouldn't explain the injuries and another child in the home said the baby had been thrown.
Martin has been charged with child abuse. During his arraignment on Thursday, Martin pleaded not guilty to the charge against him. He’ll be back in court in December.
