Eau Claire Man Arrested for Possession in Osseo

-An Eau Claire man was arrested for possession in Osseo on Tuesday.According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department, deputies, along with the Osseo Police Department, were conducting a drug investigation when contact was made with a vehicle occupied by 42-year-old Andrew Opelt of Eau Claire in the Hardees parking lot in Osseo. The department’s K9 officer was deployed and he alerted to the presence of narcotics. Opelt resisted officers’ attempts to remove him from the vehicle.
After Opelt was removed, a search of the vehicle turned up 20 grams of methamphetamine. More drug paraphernalia was discovered inside.
