Neillsville School Board Approves A Few Other Items at Annual Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board approved and discussed a few other minor items at the Annual School Board Meeting on Monday.The board also approved the salaries and reimbursement of expenses and per diem for the board. They approved the sale of all unused or outdate supplies and equipment up until the next Annual Meeting. They also approved the sale of any unused or unwanted property. The board heard about some projects that were completed because of the strong support from the community including the baseball fields, the greenhouse, safety grants, the parking lots, academic and career planning, the PTC2 group and the booster clubs.
Finally, some items of interest brought up included education being key to rural prosperity, teacher shortages, admin shortages, historic cuts, loss of funding due to vouchers, state lawsuits, the well-being of students, special education funding and more. The next Annual Meeting date was set for August 26th of 2019.
