Marshfield Man Who Threatened Officers with Knives Appears in Wood County Court

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 -- 10:56 AM

-A Marshfield man who threatened police with knives appeared in Wood County Court on Tuesday.

Last month, Marshfield officers responded to reports of a man wielding a knife. The man, Patrick Langreck, chased two social workers from his home and threw the knife at their vehicle. When officers arrived, Patrick refused to talk with them and drop the knives. He then started walking toward the officers with the knives. They were able to stop him with bean bag rounds and their K-9 officer.

Langreck has been charged with 4 counts of recklessly endangering safety and 1 count of resisting or obstructing an officer. During his court appearance, he waived his preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. He’ll be back in court in November.
