Greenwood School Board Accepts Grants

-The Greenwood School Board accepted a couple grants at their meeting on Monday.The board accepted the Library Services & Technology Grant and the Career & Technical Education Grant. In employment matters, the board approved the resignation of 3rd Grade teacher Courtney Mahr. They approved the hiring of Matthew Hessel as a 3rd Grade Teacher, Andrew Piehl as the K-6 Music/Enrichment teacher, Cindy Wildish-Rasmusssen as an Assistant Volleyball coach, Amy Yurkovich as an Assistant Volleyball coach, Sue Felhofer as a FTE Study Hall Supervisor and Barry Melcher as a substitute teacher.
The board also approved a volunteer and approved the choir field trip to the Dorian Festival in Iowa on January 13-15th in 2019. The board was also presented with the annual report on the use of seclusion and/or restraint. There were no incidents reported. Finally, the board was provided with an update on staffing needs. All teaching positions are currently filled.
