Many Topics Discussed at Clark County Workforce Meeting

-The Clark County Quarterly Workforce Meeting was held on Monday.The meetings are an opportunity for representatives from different groups to come together and discuss many different topics involving the county. The group heard some statistics on traffic through the Job Center here in Neillsville. The Job Center sees traffic ranging from 3,000 to almost 5,000 people from month to month. They offer various services and they also discussed Clark County’s low unemployment rate. They are testing new kiosks at the Job Center’s in Eau Claire and Rice Lake, which will help them track their numbers better. The group also heard about the Orenda Center. They cover Clark County and they help with domestic violence, sexual assault and teen dating violence for adults and youths.
The group also heard updates from the IndianHead Community Action Agency, the Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau, the Clark County Young Professionals, the Food Share and Employment Training program, the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act, the Clark County Area Food Pantry, CVTC and more.
