Neillsville City Council Hears Public Works Report

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance, equipment maintenance, mowing, weed trimming, watering flowers, preparing baseball/softball fields, preparing tennis courts, trimming and pruning trees, maintaining street lighting, filling pot holes, cleaning brush and compost, street sweeping, fixing several storm sewer inlets and sink holes and more. Also, the FEMA project at 822 Grand Avenue is finally moving forward.
The department has also completed some paving, a new electrical panel has been installed at the water plant, hydrant flushing is complete, the sewer department will start flushing and jetting mains and a new pump for the fountain has been ordered at a cost of $1,900. They also did some work around Schuster Park.
