Wednesday, August 8th, 2018 -- 10:25 AM

-The Marshfield Police Department responded to several different reports throughout the past week.

On August 7th, they responded to a disturbance on Central Avenue. A 17-year-old mentally ill boy was calmed down until his mother arrived on the scene to pick him up. On August 6th, a woman reported she left her wallet in a cart at Walmart. She cancelled her cards and the wallet wasn’t found. No charges were detected on her cards. On August 5th, an individual complained of suspicious activity at the apartment complex he lives in. However, the department talked with several other people and they hadn’t noticed anything. On August 7th, they also responded to reports of a woman being harassed by her ex-girlfriend. Authorities warned the ex-girlfriend not to have any more contact with the woman.

On August 7th, a woman reported that a 70-year-old woman was harassing her, trying to get money that she says the woman owes her. The 70-year-old has been calling and showing up at her place of employment and work to get the money. Authorities talked with the 70-year-old and she said she would use better judgement in trying to get the money. The woman that reported it simply wanted it noted as she’s considering a restraining order. On August 7th, they also responded to a man who wanted damage to his home documented. Finally, on August 6th, they responded to a woman who fell for a scam and paid $8,200 worth of gift cards to the scammer who said they’d fix the woman’s computer.
