Marshfield Man Killed by Passing Train

-A Marshfield man was killed after being struck by a passing train.According to the Marshfield Police Department, they received a call on Saturday, July 28th just before midnight about the accident at the 100 block of North Central Avenue. The preliminary investigation indicates the man, identified as 34-year-old Anthony Carolfi, accidentally went in front of the train as it was beginning to pass. Responding officers made efforts to revive Carolfi, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say the train arms were activated and functioning at the time of the accident and the train horn had been sounded. The investigation into the accident is continuing.
