Friday, July 20th, 2018 -- 8:01 AM

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Participants of the upcoming national Child Agricultural Injury Prevention Workshop in Marshfield will have an opportunity to received up to $5,000 in safety grants.

Organizers of the August 14-15 conference say a minimum of four grants will be awarded to enable participants to continue work that they start during the workshop. "These grants will help ensure that the workshop's energy and ideas live on," said Workshop Director Marsha Salzwedel of the National Children's Center for Rural and Agricultural Health & Safety. "The grant-writing session will explain how to further develop your outreach project idea, write specific aims, describe the project's significance, and how to develop a program plan, a budget and a timeline--everything you need to apply for a workshop grant."

The workshop is designed for farm organizations, insurance professionals, healthcare providers, Extension, agribusiness, public health officials and media. The cost to attend the workshop is $249 per person and is limited to the first 60 registrants. To register, go to http://www.marshfieldresearch.org/CAIP-Workshop.
