New Wood County Deputy Clerk Appointed

(WDLB) -Wood County Deputy Clerk Trent Miner has been appointed to replace former County Clerk Cynthia Cepress, whose retirement was effective July 2nd.Cepress spent three decades working for the county, with 16 years in her position as clerk. Cepress was recognized by the Wood County Board on Tuesday. Miner was appointed by Cepress in February of last year. The county received over 20 applications for the position, interviewing three of them, before deciding on Miner.
A unanimous vote passed Miner’s appointment, with Supervisors Adam Fischer and Lance Pliml absent. Miner’s appointment is effective immediately and will continue through the remainder of Cepress’s term, which ends in January of 2021.
