Black River Falls Woman Sentenced for Drug Overdose Death

Friday, July 6th, 2018 -- 11:14 AM

-A Black River Falls woman was sentenced for a drug related death in Jackson County.

Back in February of 2015, authorities responded to a report of a deceased man. An investigation revealed that 24-year-old Dustin Bahr had passed away from a heroin overdose. As the investigation continued, authorities learned that a local woman, who supplied Bahr with the heroin, may have been responsible for his death. On May 31st of that year, they arrested Dreama Harvey of Black River Falls in connection with Bahr's death.

After a three day jury trial back in April, Harvey was found guilty of 1st degree reckless homicide and manufacture/deliver heroin. She was sentenced to 12 years in prison and 8 years of extended supervision.
