Colby Woman Sentenced for Crash with Three Kids in the Car

-A Colby woman arrested after crashing her vehicle with three children inside into a creek was sentenced in Clark County Court on Thursday.According to court records, Emmalee Dingee ran to a home around 1:40am on December 22nd after her vehicle overturned and landed in a creek. Dingee had a 3-month-old child and a 4-year-old child with her and a 18-month-old child was sitting in the snow outside the vehicle. The woman and the children were taken to the Marshfield hospital for an evaluation. Dingee initially refused to take a breathalyzer test while she was there, but she finally took one 8 hours after the crash and blew a .04.
During her court appearance on Thursday, Dingee pleaded guilty to two counts of OWI causing injury to a passenger less than 16 years of age. She was sentenced to 3 years’ probation with a condition of 6 months jail time. She also has to have an ignition interlock device for 24 months and her license was revoked for 24 months. She also owes the courts $1,842.
